From December 5th to 7th, 2024, members of the working team from the DUALMON project participated in a study visit to project partner Academia in Maribor, Slovenia. This visit marked an important phase in the project as it approaches its conclusion, with a focus on ensuring the sustainability of the dual higher education model that has been piloted in Montenegro.
The team engaged in a series of activities aimed at evaluating the results of the pilot phase and ensuring long-term success. Discussions cantered on best practices in managing dual higher education programs and reporting on Dulamon project outcomes. In addition, the team reviewed the challenges encountered during the piloting of the project and explored solutions to strengthen the implementation of dual higher education moving forward.
An important part of the visit was also a workshop on the future of dual higher education in the context of artificial intelligence (AI), which provided valuable insights into how this approach to education can adapt to emerging technological trends. The project team also developed concrete recommendations for Montenegrin higher education institutions, supported by an analysis of Slovenian legislation and its relevance to the Montenegrin context.
The visit concluded with strategic planning sessions focused on the sustainability of the dual higher education in Montenegro, including a comparison of educational systems and approaches, and the development of further recommendations to ensure the continued success of the DUALMON project in the future.
